The rips and tears..........

This hole is underneath a layer of lace - this is looking at the tear from the backside. You can't see it from the front.
These are the two rips/tears at the bottom of the dress

I hope to start on repairs sometime in the near future.

    Nonna, do you have MP's Grandmother's Hope Chest. There is a similar CG that is dated 1880.

    I have an 1870 CG. I used silk organza and sandwiched the silk on either side of the worn parts/tears.~janet g
