Jim was telling me I could climb the stairs of the lighthouse without him.
Saturday was a day of rest and relaxation. We visited Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area. Within 12 to 15 feet of the shoreline are tidepools, unfortunately we went at high tide so Jim couldn't explore.
I am a wife, a mother and a grandmother. I have sewn since I was 14 years old, but my love for sewing was re-kindled when my grandchildren came along. Needlework is in my blood. My mother and grandmother passed down a love for all things handmade. My mother made most of our clothes when we were growing up and now hand quilts from piecing the quilt, quilting and even the binding, nothing is done by machine. My grandmother sewed on a tredle sewing machine which was passed down to me. I am even fortunate enough to have a dedicated sewing room in which it sits.
